Website Speed Test

Measure time to first byte and total load time.

What is Website Speed Test?

Website Speed Test measures how long a page takes to load, breaking down DNS lookup, TCP connection, TLS handshake, server response, and content download. Page speed directly affects user experience, bounce rates, and SEO rankings.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter the full URL to test.
  2. Click Test to load the page and measure each phase.
  3. Review the timing breakdown — DNS, connect, TLS, TTFB, and total load time.
  4. Identify the slowest phase — high TTFB means slow server, high download means heavy page.
  5. Test multiple times to get an average.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good load time?
Google recommends LCP under 2.5 seconds. TTFB under 200ms is excellent. Total load under 3 seconds keeps most visitors from bouncing.
What is TTFB?
Time to First Byte — time between request and first byte of response. Includes DNS, TCP, TLS, and server processing. High TTFB requires server-side optimization, not frontend changes.
Why is my site slow with a fast server?
Low TTFB but slow total load means heavy page — uncompressed images, too many scripts, render-blocking CSS. Enable gzip, lazy-load images, defer non-critical JS.
Does speed affect SEO?
Yes. Google uses Core Web Vitals as a ranking factor. Between two equally relevant pages, the faster one typically wins. Google Search Console shows your performance.
