Email Validator

Verify if an email address is valid with syntax and MX record checks.

What is Email Validator?

Sending emails to invalid addresses damages your sender reputation, increases bounce rates, and can get your domain blacklisted. This tool validates email addresses by checking both the syntax format and whether the domain has valid MX (Mail Exchange) records configured. Validating email addresses before sending helps maintain deliverability and protect your domain reputation.

How to use this tool

  1. Enter the email address you want to validate
  2. Our tool checks the syntax against RFC 5322 standards
  3. We verify that the domain has MX records configured
  4. Review whether the email is likely deliverable

Frequently asked questions

Can you verify if an email address actually exists?
Syntax and MX record checks confirm the format is valid and the domain accepts email, but they cannot guarantee the specific mailbox exists. Some servers support VRFY commands, but most disable it for security. The only way to fully verify is to send an email and see if it bounces.
What are MX records?
MX (Mail Exchange) records are DNS entries that specify which mail servers accept email for a domain. When you send an email to user@example.com, the sending server looks up the MX records for example.com to find where to deliver the message. Without MX records, a domain cannot receive email.
Why do emails bounce even with valid addresses?
Emails can bounce for many reasons beyond address validity: the mailbox is full, the recipient server is down, your IP is blacklisted, the email content triggers spam filters, or the recipient server has strict policies that reject unknown senders. Regular list cleaning helps reduce bounce rates.
